New Skin Tattoo Removal is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing low-cost and no-cost tattoo removal services to individuals seeking a fresh start. Whether pursuing employment, career advancement, military enlistment, educational opportunities, or personal transformation, we remove barriers that can stand in the way of progress.

In addition to serving individuals motivated by lifestyle change, we proudly provide free tattoo removal for cancer survivors to erase radiation marker tattoos — restoring confidence during an already difficult journey.

Our programs are rooted in rehabilitation and reentry. We partner with adult probation departments, juvenile halls, community-based organizations, and reentry programs to offer structured, incentive-based tattoo removal services that support accountability and positive change.

Since 2010, New Skin Tattoo Removal has served over 17,000 clients statewide and continues to expand throughout California, including the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Fresno, Sacramento, and surrounding counties. What began as a small community effort has grown into a multi-region nonprofit providing thousands of life-changing treatments each year.

Our recent accomplishments include:

• Launching structured Rehabilitation & Reentry Incentive Programs for justice-involved youth and adults
• Completing a successful city partnership to establish a municipal youth tattoo removal program
• Expanding collaborations with community organizations focused on breaking cycles of incarceration
• Providing services to survivors of human trafficking and violence

Our services fill a critical gap in the community. Tattoos — especially gang, hate-related, or exploitive tattoos — can create barriers to housing, employment, and education. They can also reinforce harmful stereotypes that follow individuals long after they have changed their lives.

One powerful example of our impact involved a residential program serving survivors of human trafficking in Northern California. We provided free removal of branding tattoos applied by traffickers, helping survivors reclaim ownership of their bodies and identity. Removing those marks accelerated their healing process and empowered them toward independence.
